I’m looking for a bike to ride around town on, and tried gumtree, found this:

    http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/kona-dew-plus-disc-brake-bike-in-excellent-condition–specialized-trek-giant/96081088

thought, great bargain! then tried doing a search on the sellers number on gumtree (search includes for the Title and Description)and found that the seller has 6 bikes for sale, all in west london, all photographed in different locations….

Suspicious or what? Surely they are stolen? What do you think?

posting ads since Feb 2012. Gotta be suspicious.

Text him and ask him why he has loads of bikes for sale.

Ask him if he has a soul or 575 lying around by any chance

Might be a lazy arse who can’t be bothered to take his/her own photos.

seems iffy, gumtree does seem to attract people punting out stolen bikes, ring him and arrange to pick it up at his house with him providing a receipt proof of his purchase etc. One club mate recovered his cervelo from gumtree this week, they use a generic photo as well as actual shots of the bike
