    A great idea.

Steve Worland ride singletrack hard &
drink a swig of cider per lap memorial cup 2015!

Come and join the cup! To honour our friend Steve Worland, who sadly passed away at the end of March 2014 in Ashton Court, we are once again running the ‘Steve Worland ride singletrack hard & drink a swig of cider per lap memorial cup 2015’ within the Bristol Bikefest. Last year’s event was a great success and we hope we can build on its strength. All proceeds of the cup will go towards buying a defibrillator for Ashton Court as well as to the Psoriasis Association Charity.

Here the details in a nutshell:
    • We will run the cup within the 12 hour event of the Bristol Bikefest 2015 on the 13th June 2015 (the
weekend after the Fort William WC)
    • The SWMC will be an annual event @ the Bristol Bikefest
    • The event is open to everyone (minimum age 16) – industry and non-industry
    • There is only one category – teams can be any size from solo to ‘as many people as you like…’
    (only one rider on course)
    • Event will have a separate start at 11.37am and will finish with the 12hour event at 9pm so that it
can be part of the rather lively finish
    • Entry as usual through the online or paper entry – the ‘SWMC’ is listed as a separate event (Entry
    page here)
    • Teams who have already entered can be moved into the SWMC
    • A drink station will be located roughly half way round the course where riders drink a small cider
in Steve’s honour (strongly encouraged but not mandatory)
    • A special trophy has be crated and will be handed from winner to winner
    • We encourage to ride in retro gear and use retro and unusual bikes (anything goes as long as it
    is safe)
    • Every participant will get a special SWMC finishing present
    • If you are already in the Bikefest and would like to change to the ‘Steve Worland ride singletrack
hard & drink a swig of cider per lap memorial cup

Further details and entry facilities can be found on the Bikefest website – http://www.bike-fest.com
