Am planning on cycling to Morecambe staying the night and then cycling back home the next day. Any recommendations of where to stay. Do they let you keep your bike in your room. Just rang one B&B and they said I could put my bike in there shed which doesn’t fill me with confidence that it would be still there in the morning. Any help would muchly be appreciated.

Look on the Way of the Roses website, as you probably know, the route starts in Morecambe and I think they have accommodation listed.

Hotels generally aren’t bothered by bikes in rooms.

You can happily walk through to the reception of any Alan Partridge style Travel Tavern with your bike, and the staff won’t bat an eyelid
