Do they exist does anybody know? (In a 27.2 flavour)
Other than that, can anyone recomend a ti machined from solid, like a Thomson - but in ti? The Lynksy one's only come in fat sizes btw - 27.2 again required. The Van Nik ones look intriguing, but the pic on their site is poor.

I've got a van nic 27.2 layback one - good bit of kit but made from a tube not machined.
head's a bit of a bugger to get saddles in and out of but once they are in there they are secure and don't squeak.
surely Thomson is machined from thick-walled tube, not solid. That'd be a stupid amount of waster.
Why stainless steel anyway? Heavy for the strength
Don't know of any machined from solid Ti ones - they'd be HORRIBLY expensive.
I have a USE Sumo Ti - the head came loose from the shaft after about 9 months, was fixed very promptly under warranty and has been fine for the last 2.5 years. Pretty happy with it.
Also look at Qoroz and Kent Erikson. The latter are lovely. IIRC somebody also did a version that used a thomson head glued onto a Ti tube.
Thick walled tube would be fine, what I meant was machined from one piece, not an insert for the clamp head.
wwaswas - did you buy that locally? as I think you're local-ish to me, Sussex. I would go for a welded head, if the machined option isn't available and layback would be good too.
I had a USE Sumo post, it was pants quite frankly - never again.
hi woodsman - actually I got it off brant a few years back - I think he had some from van nic to test and offered them when someone on here asked if o-o would be doing a ti post. I paid about £60 I think. So, to answer your question I don't know anyone 'round here that does them, sorry.
I would recommend a Ti post on a hardtail - like having 5-10psi less in your tyres but no moving parts to wear like on a suspension seatpost.

Or alternatively, DO do a google images for Moots seatposts when you're not at work. 
I think thompson ones are machined from solid as the clamp and tube are all one piece..
pedalhead - that clamp looks a wee bit like a Sumo...other than that very nice
Just had a look at Moots - nice but 300 US!
Any more recommendations?
