I ride one of the bare metal (laquered) slacker Inbreds but i’m building up a Singlespeed with a sliding dropout Inbred frame.

    I don’t think its a 2nd generation model.

It has no obvious place to ziptie the rear brake hose on the chainstay but no v brake bosses. And its a classic red.

So, who runs a 120mm (suspension) forks or does everybody stick with 100mm

Was running mine at 120mm & it was perfect. 2nd gen one, not sure if they were different.

I’ve had 120mm on a 2nd gen. Inbred for over a year now. It’s far more fun than it was with 100mm.

inbreds and 5″ forks are meant to be together.

my inbred is about a thousand years old, and it hasn’t killed me yet.

The one I built for my mate has U-turn Revs on it, spends most of it time at 115mm and it’s fine

Original SS Inbred with track ends was fine with 120mm forks . . .

First sliding dropout version was designed for up to 130mm iirc . . .

Yes, they are two different bikes 😉

Sheesh, they look so long 😯 . Lovely, lovely bikes but I can’t go back now I’m used to shorties 😕

I had an old inbred and have got one of the 853 sliding dropout ones, both work really well at 120mm or so. The older one is designed for 100mm forks but I always prefered it at 120mm, felt a bit more sprightly to my mind.
