I am looking at upgrading my chainring on my Cranks to a 1X11 set up. I currently have XO triple cranks that the triple spider is held in by three bolts. Is it as simple as removing the three bolts that hold the spider on and replacing it with a direct mount single chain ring?

Thats what we did with our 2x ones. Just make sure you get the correct offset ring for the chain line

Yep. You can also get a 1x spider and stick a regular 104bcd chainring on. Though direct mount (or spiderless as they call them) chainrings look nice.

Yes. Absolute Black oval on mine – totally painless.

Yeah go for absolute black or works components, I’ve used both and they work great. Consider oval too, I love mine.

If you have GXP or long spindle BB30 you should need 6mm offset, short spindle BB30 is no offset.
