Does anyone know if SRAM Red/Force/Apex brakes are compatible with Shimano leavers/shifters. I know the mechs and shifters aren’t compatible and I assume. Cranks can be changed between the brands.

Just wondering as thinking of switching my SRAM Force out for Di2 and wondered what part need changing and what I can keep as the brakes and cranks are pretty good.

They won’t work properly, worth changing the whole lot. Shimano changed theirs too, so you’ll need the more recent Shimano brakes.

Eh! They work fine, I use 105 10sp with Apex without any issues.

Must be thinking of the older Shimanos then, I know we tried it early in the days of SRAM and it wasn’t great. Ignore me!
