    Hi All

I have a new bike which has arrived with an SRAM GX (1×11). I’ve only done one ride and I kept finding myself trying to change up with my index finger which the GX doesn’t do. I’m sure I will adjust in time but I was just wondering if there is a different SRAM shifter which would work like a Shimano shifter?

It looks like all the SRAM shifters are compatible, I just don’t what the words are I’m looking for!

    cheers

Nope…the Sram shifters all work with your thumb…Shimano have 2-way release so can be done by forefinger or thumb…

You’ll switch in no time and realise it’s actually betterer. I’ve got Shimano but haven’t used my index finger to shift in years thanks to Sram

ok, thanks guys. I think I will adjust ok, it will just take a while. I also need to do some ‘re-arranging’ as I kept getting my thumb stuck between the down-shift button and the bar 😀
