Anyone know if this Cassettehas an alu carrier?
I like quite a tight ratio cassette like an 11-27/28 however I now have a hope pro 2 rear hub and my current cassette is cutting into the alloy freehub body, I am hoping that the above cassette will meet my requirements but if not can anyone suggest a cassette that does?

I’m pretty sure the 970 isn’t on a carrier. You can get Shimano SLX in 11-28, but that only has the 3 biggest rings on a carrier.

Have a look for a 9-speed Ultegra CS6500 12-27.

It has 2 alloy spiders to spread the load.

Dura-Ace is the same, but the budget may be stretched a little.

If you want 9-speed with 32 or bigger, you can get an XT M770.

Thanks for the help, I already have an ultegra cassette and it is still cutting in due to the fact that some of the gears are still loose. I may try an XT as it has been a while since I used a larger cassette and I may like it now, although this theory never worked with broccoli :(, my riding has changed since I last owned an 11-32.
