Just replacing my press fit PF30 bottom bracket with another SRAM unit on a carbon stumpy. Having previously replaced press fit bottom brackets on an aluminium zesty before which took some real brutalisation to fit and remove, I was spirited that the nylon cups pushed in virtually by hand with the use of a threaded bar needed only to seat the last bit. Is this normal ?

Specialized have a bit of an issue with them being (hand)press fit 😕
Get some bearing fit in there.

The ones on my spearfish went in with a couple of taps with a runner mallet. Not exactly headset levels of interference fit is it??!!

I’ve had to glue my enduro bb in to stop it coming out while riding.
Bit of a pain but been in there for 3 months and all good now.

There is an instruction sheet on the Spesh web site tells you what to use and how

Will check out the specialized website. They didn’t push in all the way but was able to push them a fair way in. Perhaps it’s just the contrast from the zesty which needed running at with a lump hammer !
