I bought a secondhand bike with a Fox kashima rear shock that had been recently serviced, it makes a wicked squelching noise & the open/ pro peddle settings make next to no difference, do I take it the thing needs to be serviced again or best to bin it & start again?
If it needs servicing then who is considered the best these days?

    Cheers.

get it serviced again. I had a noisy rear Fox shock for a long time, got it serviced after doubting claims such as “they do that/it’s a fox thing” and the result? i now have a silent shock and better performance. Unless you have a service itinerary that is dated form the original owner, you’ll never be able to verify what ‘recently serviced’ means.

“binning it and starting again” is a bit rash unless you truly have more money than sense!

    It’s cavitating. Needs a service.

Yes, but not simply an air can service. You’re going to have to get this done professionally unless you have some specialist tools.
