I’m thinking of fitting a small spilt AC unit in the bedroom of my new build house. What electricity supply will i need to both ends of the unit? Will 13 amps be enough or do i need 20?

Is it a b+q plug and play thing?
As you won’t be able to install a proper ie piped split without fgas qualifications?

This Mitsubishi requires a 10A single phase supply to indoor inly (OU fed by indoor)

Fgas is funny. Contractors lean on it to justify qualifications but come the statutory requirements, very very few produce documentation compliant (gas usage records, leak testing).
I most certainly would not install one without a triple vac, which needs oxygen free nitrogen and a vacuum pump amongst other specialist (and expensive) items.

Make sure you buy an inverter driven unit. Otherwise you will get noise complaints as well as being pissed off with it yourself.

No idea but the installer of mine wired the internal ac unit to the water heater switch, worked ok for 10 years. Electrician came last year to rewire bathroom, saw the configuration went apeshit said it was dangerous so wired it into main circuit.

I’m well aware of the rules and regs, I won’t be fitting it myself but i need to prep the supply for when it does get fitted.

Daikan have been what we have replaced our aging AC with. 40 fitted so far, only 250 still to go.

I looked into AC units with two condensers, but the cost was about the same as two separate, and if it broke two rooms were not cooled.

All single phase as far as i am aware. The larger 42000 BTU was three phase so we went with two separate units for ease of installation
