Do you mean the Controle, Controle SL or the Traversee? There is no 'XC' wheelset, although the Controle/SL is the more XC biased.
The bearings in the SL front hubs are terrible. They're so minute that just pressing them in is enough to bugger them! They're hard to true due to the straight pull spokes and alu nipples, and the slightly odd 2:1 disc:non disc spoke arrangements.
It's a carbon copy of a Stan's rim, so they run tubeless nicely, they're light, and the rear hub is basically a DT 240, so very reliable.
I've been impressed with my Controle SLs, but wouldn't pay £600 for them. If you can get a good deal they're good, but otherwise I'd just have Pro 2s or DT240s on Olympics with Revolution spokes.
