Was looking at the Storm Control’s but seem out of stock everywhere (since What MTB’s recommendation), so these S-Works look similar.

Anyone know what the differences are and if they are worth a punt?

    Cheers

S-Works are very light but generally have paper thin sidewalls.

Unless they’re for racing, go for the controls.
Great wet weather tyres – I run 26″ controls on my full sus.

And according to wheelies, they will have some in today 🙂

I’ve got the storm S-works which i put on last week as i couldn’t get hold of a control. Only on the front though as i’ve got a purgatory on the rear. Set up tubeless and obviously early days but the sidewall didn’t seem too delicate under finger test, certainly no where near as wafer thin as the old ignitors i used to have. It is a light tyre though and I only really ride round surrey hills though so no lakes like sharp stone to deal with.

Cracking tyre, left me massively impressed. I’m very quickly turning into a big fan of specialized tyres, especially at £30 a go.
