Can someone point me in the direction of a shop in the South West (Berkshire) area that has a good stock of Shimano shoes i can try on before I buy.

the bronze shimano ones on crc at the mo are aces. sizing is spot on for me, ie an 8 is an 8 is an 8…..if that helps at all
