Cheers for the route Rich, certainly packed a lot in. Not sure you could have improved on the weather and the Lakes put on a great show with all the bluebells and wild garlic. Some tender bits this morning (but in a satisfyingly nice way) 😆
Had an absolutely brilliant time Rich. Thank you so much for organising. Can’t think of a better way to raise a bit of money for some excellent causes.
Lovely to meet up with a lot of old friends, and make new ones. A good reminder of what mountain biking is all about.
That looks great, fingers crossed we’re blessed with similar for the Sam Houghton! 😉 Hoping to hook up with Si (newish Lakes resident) and ride on Sunday if you fancy it Rich (we spoke about this on the Dyfi).
It was. I think there were about a dozen of us scattered around by the various tarns. Not sure if anyone who bivvied out used any point further than this.
What a cracker that was! Thanks for a superb route, great weather, good beer. We had a few moments but everyone had a fantastic ride.
For a very deserving cause.
Amazing event, huge thanks to Rich and his family for all the effort that went into setting up the first JennRide. Even though the whole weekend had a relaxed “mates just going for a ride” feel to it, there will certainly have been a lot of organisation going on behind the scenes.. the route planning, the parking, signing out, signing people back in, checking we all got back ok, etc etc, so cheers! . I didn’t know anyone before starting the ride but I had some great laughs with loads of different groups along the way, now know that black sambucca is my hip-flask drink of preference (cheers Steve!), that sandpaper can fix valve issues, and that my bike will survive 100 miles in the Lakes if I promise it a shiny new headset in return.
Hope Cameron got back to Edinburgh ok, cheers for opening all those gates!
Barry

The beer at the finish went down a treat. Lots of great people… Big thanks to John Climber, Tony (Lawnmanmx) for the offer to join them on the ride. Big thanks to Rich too…probably the only person with a bike as heavier than mine.
Great pictures guys- gutted not to have made it, as I had been looking forward to it for weeks. Unfortunately van chose a bad time to develop a slipping clutch 🙁
