Ive seen some 2012/13 crank bros egg beater 2 ti pedals for under £90.They are meant to be alot better than the earlier models and super light which im after .Can anyone let me know if they are worth the purchase.I certainly would’nt pay the £245-290 price tag they are selling for but at under £90 i thought it might be worth a go?

There were some massive changes/improvements in the Candy & Mallet ranges not sure about the egg beaters personally but this should explain.
However what about the upgrade route? (if you can find a US friend)

    what do you ride?

I cant do eggbeaters due to the small contact area and foot cramps even in stiff race shoes, but candy’s are perfect for little weight penalty.
Above pinner race bke, acids are king..

I horded a coupel of sets of their 2ti candys when i could.. but first set are still going strong 🙂

Same story with the ti/carbon acids.. got a few sets but originals still work without fault.

As far as older generation egg beater 4ti’s. My business partner rode a set for 3 seasons on whatever biek he was riding. Ended up snapping a wing, but they’d been through the grinder so that wasn’t a suprise.
