New frame, and I’ve run a full outer cable to my rear BB7 which runs along the TT through some hose/cable thingies, one near the head tube and the other near the seat tube with nothing inbetween and it’s rattling on the top tube and making a ting ting ting ting ting noise when it’s bumpy … any suggestions as to what I can put on there to stop it, something that I might have in the house and can do in the next hour or so?? It’s irritating the hell out of me, I like a quiet bike!

    Thanks 😕

I glued a strip of innertube round the brake hose in a similar situation – cut a bit and inch by two, glue one side of it and wound it round the hose – it works

Couple of dabs of clear silicon sealant, hold in place with tape overnight to go off.

    Thanks 😀

Gonna see what I’ve got around and do one of those and hope it works

Can’t get my brain in gear to come up with a solution myself, I’ve done a hard ride and had a couple of beers … hic ! 😉
