We’re having a spell of warmish ( for this time of the year) clear nights.
Ideal for the youngsters to go bat watching. Good fun if they’re allowed to stay up until 8.30p.m ish.
As dusk appears, either a garden with trees of water nearby, a canal bank or your nearest park. Just sit around for a few minutes and they’ll appear.

My local canal is great for bats, even better when i’m riding along it wih ma helmet lioght on..

I remember a few years ago, me and the kids were having a camp over at a mates dads place..late in the evening i spotting something crawling in the grass, it was a bat, i let it crawl onto my hand, it crawled up my arm and set up camp on my head, where it stayed for about ten mins….bats are cool. this one at 4.40 in didn’t think my 900 odd lums where cool though.

Canal Banks at dusk, the natural habitat of your local jakey, or flasher.
