It is coming with a pair of Reet’ards,but based on the fact that the commute will involve 3 miles of “gravel road”TM and a couple of miles of actual road they are overkill. Has anybody any experience of their own alloy cross wheel? What are the other options for under £200?

I run Hope Hoops Crest 29ers with Bontrager CX0 in tubeless mode and they work for me. But I also have some Aksium Disc wheels that are ridiculously heavy, though feel quite solid. I wouldn’t recommend them and I wish I’d simply gone for some of the Kinesesis Crosslight CX Disc wheels even at £270.

Which is a long-winded way of saying whatever else, don’t bother with the Aksiums, they look nice, but weigh a ton.
