    Do you use a chain guide…..?…if so what type…?

    or can you get away without one

    ngear jumpstop and a bash here(cheap set up), once set properly ive had no issues. the superstar one could be worth a look as the e13/mrp/pauls ones are pricey.

    I run a 1×9 set up on my bike it works pretty well. I use an MRP 1x guide that mounts on to the BB shell. I don’t have ISG mounts and I didn’t want a full DH set up anyway. It was £35 and works pretty well and weighs next to nothing. If you are using it for XC/Trail use I’d get one of these, it doesn’t touch the chain either so no additional drag. If its for freeride, get a full fat one with a bash guard etc.

    I wouldn’t go 1×9 or in your case 1×10 without one you drop the chain a lot, it makes you realise how many times a regular front mech saves your chain!
