I would put out the flames first but then it should be fine

That's fine. I have lots of experience of things bursting into flames near me.

It sounds as if you may have destroyed the teflon, personally I have an OCD problem with washing up so I simply bin frying pans after one use, you can't be too careful.

Your not a Teflon Don Simon by any chance?

Set fire to it? or had a fire in it. if you just had a fire in it then it's fine. If you actually managed to set the metal burning….well done you, but I'd bin it. 🙂
