Hello,

I managed to snap the seat post end nipple (which the hydraulic hose fits on to) my reverb yesterday and need to replace it!

I have to older version post which has the push fit type attachment, does anyone know if the newer style fixing (which looks more like the set up you find on brake levers) will fit my post? I would assume it would but without buying it and trying it I cannot be certain.

I snapped mine at Glentress – went to the shop there and they gave me a new nipple off a hope disc brake – works fine. Think my reverb is the older one as well – bit vaugue on the details but ring the alpline bike shop at glentress and speak to the mechanic – sure they will put you right. I can provide pictures if you need…

I did the same thing. The new one fitted just fine, and seems a lot more robust than the previous plastic affair.

Nice one, thanks for the replies. My pal has the newer one and the fitting does look a lot sturdier. Hopefully it won’t happen again….!
