    SLX medium cage clutch mech
    Zee shifter
    11/36 cassette

If I don’t use the bike for any given time the mech seems to seize in its current gear. When I go to ride the bike the mech simply doesn’t move, unless I force it by hand.

Shifting then feels heavy/stiff, but after 10 minutes of riding/shifting it seems to work fine, as if it’s warmed up.

    Any ideas?

My X0 could sit idle for weeks and shift perfectly first time.

Mech isn’t bent, nothing is damaged, everything seems straight & true, it drives me mad.

I’ve just sold my X0 to go XT 11 speed so I hope I’ve done the right thing!!!!!

Ha, Rob, I’ve changed it several times so I’m sure it’s not this, but it won’t hurt to swap out again.

I’m more stumped as to why the mech seems to seize in its current gear, and requires force by hand to free it up, after that it’ll work (mostly).
