I’ve managed too destroy my 10spd mech (xtr980) on tarmac with my 6 yr old,truth be told I’d noticed some wear on front plate or what looked to be a crack a little while ago,ignored as didn’t look to bad in any way,Anyhoos rolling down to his school on path as we were practicing school run for when he starts riding,went too change up then awful chain and metal/carbon cracking breaking noise,mech decided to wrap itself up in knots and into my wheel.

On inspection it looks as if the mech hanger is a little out,when put flat it rocks a miniscule,can this be made straight in a vice or hammered out?
