I have read in the past that the alpkit mats were spot on, but they have sold out of most of them.
Looking for something comfy, not bothered about weight as I’ll be in the car and reasonably cheap.
    Any recommendations

If you’re not bothered about weight, buy a decent inflatable mattress from Argos and then pick up a closed cell foam mat and stick it on top.

£20 all in and it will be comfy and warm enough.

It’s to go in a pretty low tent so looking for just a mat.

Vango ones for me – we’ve got 6 of them in various thicknesses and they’ve all been good.

We had 3 early Alpkit ones and they all leaked but I can’t comment on the current range.

I use a thermarest.. they do quite a range from super light and expensive, to more bulky and cheap. Bought one years ago for sleeping out in sub zero temps. Massive improvement in comfort over a roll mat.

Something like these. At 5cm they are twice as thick as standard self inflating mats. And slightly longer and wider.

    Cheers,
Gives me something to ponder over.
