We had our first mechanical problem with our Roomster between xmas and new year: one of the coil springs on the front suspension broke. The car is 6 years old in March and has done nearly 90,000 miles. It’s the 1.9TDi (might have got the engine size wrong but it’s the larger of the two diesel engines)

We looked at a Roomster but bought a Meriva mainly due to much better space. Not a great car to drive but very reliable and quite economical. 90000 miles with nothing but maintenance.

I know everybody must besides themselves wondering what happened about this…. 😉

Well, I went in past the Skoda dealer to have a look at a pre-reg 1.2 TSI Scout theys had just reduced to £11k.

Took it for a test ride (put 12 miles on it taking up to a total of 26!), talked to the salesman, went back out and kicked the tyres some…. Then came back and paid a deposit…. Get it Saturday 🙂
