Looking for an off the beaten path destination in the Alps? Samoens near Les Gets has tonnes of untouched singletrack…

Been riding there for several years with Ride The Alps. Great bloke and superb riding.

Was there with BikeAlp a couple of summer’s back. Brilliant place. The village itself is a great place to stay, and there’s loads of riding. Some of it way-marked, most of it not. Everything from fast flowy singletrack to full-on road jumps and downhill trails. Would definitely recommend it as an alternative to the usual fleshpots.

Went there last year on a family holiday and managed some great riding, even only having a Kona Explosif hardtail. Agree that the village is quiet but there is a good atmosphere in August. 2 or 3 bike shops with good knowledge of the area.

Thanks. I’ve done the Les Gets to Samoens descent a couple of times so know that side a bit and the village.
