I’ve got a problem with changing a geared bike to singlespeed in that, the chain needs to be shorter to stop it slipping but taking two links out mens too short , so I need a half link .
My problem is I’m using a nine speed chain at moment and not sure if a half link is available for a nine speed chain.
Am happy to change chain just not sure what chain I should buy that is compatible with a half link .
Then bring in 1 1/8 or 3 /32 . will they both work on my chainrings ?
Any tips would be much appreciated.

You need a 3/32″ half link for your 9spd chain.

Both 3/32″ & 1/8″ chains will work on your 9spd ring.
