Having bought a van, sorted out insulating it through this forum I now need your help with signing. Two choices – magnetic signs or vinyl – which is better. Do I really need the help of a designer? And how much should I be paying?……..As you may have gathered never done this before.

    Thanks

Paid £500ish to get both sides of a Pug Expert vinyl wrapped and logos on front & rear. Seems pretty long lasting, but there was a bit of a moment when he realised he'd spelt our company name wrong!! Just a cut and shut letter added and all was good, couldn't tell it had been altered.
Was produced from our artwork mind, so may be more if you get them to do that as well.

Depends if you're wrapping or just signing I suppose. stick-on vinyl stuff seems to be fairly cheap (I was offered a full rally car replica sticker set custom-done for £250, but full car wrapping was ~£1000). Stickering up a business van I expect would be a bit cheaper!
