Great shoes, fantastic price, however be warned that Sidi shoes come up small so if you've never worn a pair before and do not know your Sidi size then do not buy online!

I like those! i've got a pair of roadie sidi's and they are still going strong after 3 years or more…

as a sidi owner sidis are lovely shoes. budget for some extra insoles though, the ones that they come with are rubbish.

I've got a pair of those. As others have said, Sidi's do come in a bit on teh small side, so I'd try some on.

Oh, got mine in the CRC Flood sale for £30!!! they were damp and did smell a bit, but they are fine now 😀

They're a couple of years old model wise and hence they are showing the rrp that they were sold at 2 years ago. The good news is they haven't changed other than colour and a higher price over the last 2 years, so at that price they are a bargain……..if you can class £160 a bargain

Sidi's have the best uppers, they are absolutely lovely. The best soles and insoles in my opinion are Specialised though, and its best fit for your feet that gives extra performance. I race on the road quite seriosly and swapping from Sidi to Specialied gave me more of a performance gain than anything else i have done, as my feet move around in the shoe far less, and they are far stiffer. I would be weighed more by this (the fit for your feet) than anything else. The other thing about Specialised is that they are easier to walk in than the other race type shoes I have tried, worth bearing in mind for trail riding.

parisroubaix gotta agree with you there, I use both S-works road and mtb shoes for the very same reasons. 😉

Biketreks have some good deals on the s-works shoes, limited sizes though.

If you go for the top end BG pro shoes, ask the shop to swap the insoles to the ones appropriate for the arch of your foot (they will have a heat sensitive pad for measuring this). The pro models come with the red ones as standard, but a good shop should let you swap, as they cant be ordered with the shoes. Leisure Lakes in Notts swapped them for free for me to blue, and also gave me VIP discount. although the cheeper models come with a BG insole, it is not exactly the same as the aftermarket ones, so swapping not really possible.

S-Works, every time.

I had some Sidi Dragons (not carbon), they were very comfy off the bike, but a bit crap on the bike really, flexy, got cramp, hotspots, pins and needles in toes etc. Used S-Works shoes for the last 4 years or so and they're vastly superior.

All the team riders use the Pro MTB rather than the S-Works interestingly, not sure why frankly, although the Boa closure can get full of rubbish, making it harder to open. The newest ones have a better mechanism though, so that shouldn't happen.
