Tongariro Crossing, New Zealand. Mountain-ish!
I kind of like this one too.
woody2000, I knew instantly where these were! A superb one day walk - the worlds greatest so they say. I have many almost identical pics from last year (snowy) and '95, red hot! Did you make it to summit of Ngnarohoe (the big Conical one to the righ -out of shot) (Spelling?), that I would like to do!Happy days...

El Cap
Only just qualifies as a mountain, and I've posted the pic a couple of times before, but I do love this one:
scruzer - we were a bit pushed for time unfortunately, so we just did the straight walk with no side trips. Will definitely go back tho!
It's probably a bit whiter just now

Yep - Matterhorn above Zermatt Oct last year.
Definitely not mountains but a great picture over the best mtb area in the UK (IMNSHO)

Beloved Loch Maree & Slioch (again...)

Same hill, different view-point

Mount Rundle

Bit closer to home, a wild and windy Crib Goch.
Was an ace day.
don'y know if this is a mountain.
but when i cycles past it the other year, it looked very impressive.
without looking at the clue in the properties, where is it?

Aiguille Verte and the Petit Dru.
a little higher up than the rest. a view of the crater rim at the summit of kili at 6am. you cant really see it in this picture but you could see the curvature of the earth looking across the tops of the clouds. amazing!

EDIT- goan yours is the winner so far, really impressive. im planning on climbing mera or island peak at some point in the near future cant wait.
Crib Goch on a nice day

Somewhere near the South side of the Eiger/Monch/Jungfrau
A pic like this of Liathach got me into mountaineering many years ago, since done it many times in winter and summer

Barre Des Ecrins. My first big 4000m peak, so has a special place for me. Done it twice.

Poon Hill

I did the full circuit. Stunning. It's supposed to be about a week's trek, but it's not quite that long.
Situated at the bottom of the Andes in S America, the highest pass is only 5000ft, but the walking circuit is quite magnificent& not at all difficult to trek. You walk around the edge of the massif.

Plansee, Germany

Verwalltal, Austria. near St. Anton

a private lodge belonging to a friend of a friend. awesome place to stay and party. sleeps 40 people comfortably (if you excuse the mice). trails from the door and you can jump off the balcony into the water after a ride/when you're drunk. near Ruette, Austria.
