Righty, my bike stash is being slowly scattered to the four winds/classifides and at some point I plan on buying the kind of bike I started riding on all those years ago. A 100mm forked aluminium hardtail, not weight weenie light, but not heavy. Run it with gear in the summer, SS in winter, save the Pitch (or its replacement, it’s an ongoing saga that one) for having ‘fun’ rather than XC. That or a 29er, can’t decide!
