Thinking of the Global Warming/Cooling debate. I appreciate there is another long running and quite moving thread with a similar number of posts.
If the number of posts were to be limited, what would be the limit?
Should we have exceptions at the discretion of the mods?
I have no strong opinion - just wondering what we all thought.

Or to put it another way.. if people choose to continue posting on the thread, who are you to say that they should stop?
Can't really understand why you would wonder about this tbh.
Threads run until they die a natural death...or are culled by the mods.

I am not saying they should stop posting. There were a couple of posts on the Global warming thread saying " we've reached 1000 posts - can we stop now"
I merely wondered if that was a view a few more people shared.

There should be a minimum number of posts. If the thread hasn't achieved that number within, say, 3 hour2, then the OP should receive a 1-week ban for being boring.
