Been looking at them as I have little need for a full laptop, Mainly just browsing/storing photos etc. Seems like a handy thing to use especially on holiday for backing up photos etc.

How useful are they and never having used Linux and being a bit of a Luddite do I need to spring for 1 with Windows?

Any suggestions for good ones gratefully recieved

Samsung NC10 is the best of the current raft of Netbooks. Linux works well on them without too much a learning curve, but I’d go for Windoze.

Saw one of the Samsung NC10’s in the flesh on Friday and was very impressed; the battry life in particular. Interested to see other comments and recommendations.
