    Hi All.

At a wedding near Glossop next weekend and would like to get out for a spin with my good lady. She’s 20 weeks pregnant so not up for hills or busy roads. Have had a quick look at strava but seem to be getting hills everywhere.

Is there a ~20-30k ride that’s fairly flat in that area?

You could try the longendale trail from Hadfield to the railway tunnels then back. It’s a disused and reclaimed rail track so flat and straight. Probably about 20 km there and back. More suited to a hybrid style bike than a road bike. You’re struggling for anything else that length avoiding hills

^That is one option, although you’d need to drive over to Hadfield to avoid the hill from Glossop.

Other option would be to pop over Snake Pass and cycle round Ladybower. It’s pretty flat and although not all tarmac. It’d be do-able on most bikes:

It’s scenic and away from the traffic anyway.
