Are there any shock pumps out there that have something like a quick release connector rather than the standard screw on kind? I’ve been experimenting with the 2 I have at home and when checking the shock pressure with a calibrated pressure gauge I seem to lose between 20-40 psi each time I remove it. Which is a bit of an arse

Someone on the classifieds (Not me!) is selling a Scott one which somehow avoids this.

You don’t lose pressure when you disconnect a shock pump, it has a non return valve in the…….valve.
The air escaping is from the tube/pump.

When you connect a pressure gauge you will lose a little air as it charges the device so will read less than what it read when you disconnected the pump…

That’s my take, but happy to be proven wrong by a shock pump genius.

I’m with kayak on this.. The perceived pressure drop is the shock filling the pump.

Except on some really bad shock pumps anyway. But every one that’s fit for purpose is lossless
