In the process of re-building my Bronson C MK1 and need some new bolts, the ones which run through the rear linkage and hold the shock in place.

Having has a look at the tech sheet they appear to be 22mm x 8mm:

Has anyone used a normal allen head bolt before or does it have to be the ones supplied by Jungle?

I’ve replaced with standard bolts before. Just get high tensile ones with a grading eg 8.8 or 10.9 rather than cheap unknown ones. Also try to get ones with a partly plain shaft rather than fully threaded although that’s less of an issue (and probably impossible) for ones that short

They’re a bit more difficult to get in shops I find, but on the other hand, just contact Jungle and they’ll send you some. I snapped one, mentioned it to them, they sent some free bolts.

I never buy the bolts from the bike shops as they cost pence if you have a shop nearby- I reckon about 10 p per bolt but i would still have to post them to you so not much saving

Luckily I have a specialist nuts and bolts place so they have everything needed – sometimes some obscure italian or american thread options cannot be purchased here

Out of interest, the spare one I’ve got from Jungle is marked ‘THE A2-70’ bolt. A2-70 from what I can tell is a stainless steel grading. Which is great, until you snap one and have to drill it out. Tough going drilling SS 😀
