So I replaced the chainset on my giant tcr road bike yesterday, and whilst removing the drive side crank/chainrings from the BB, the external part of the BB came out of the frame slightly on that side. I pushed/tapped it back in and installed the new crank set.

All seems ok but it’s bugging me a bit as all the guides say you need a tool to compress the BB into the BB shell.
Do I need to get it looked at and reinstalled or will it be ‘reet’ ? 🙂

    Cheers

The Shimano pf bb on my Lurcher goes in with relatively light hand pressure.

    That’s reassuring. Maybe I’ll leave it 🙂
