    ….are sh1t.
i’ve never snapped so many chains as i have dura-ace / xtr 9 speed.
they are sh1t. do not buy. stick to sram. at least you can rejoin sram on the trail too.
i like shimano, but their chains fail too easily.

ive never snapped one and im no lightweight..
and i rejoin them (whilst cleaning etc) with sram powerlinks no bother.

maybe look at why they are snapping..?

They are made of cheese – I snapped several before the days of SRAM – am now on to KMC SL for real weight weenie 😉

should find no bother with shimano chains – just join them using a sram power link instead of the shimano pin.

Aye – just join then with power link like sram.

    How are you breaking them?

Never had a problem with Shimano chains, but now using KMC 9L and their VERY nice, been told by LBS that they advice any serial chain snappers, and DH folk to go for KMC.

KMC are the way forward, and they make Shimano chains.

Shimano have finally admitted defeat with pins I think, some are now coming with quick joining links like SRAM and KMC. Only took them nearly 20 years 😉

KMC chains are the ONLY chains to use. Best chains ever.
