Is there much difference between the deore and xt hollow tech 2 bottom brackets and is it worth paying extra for the xt bb? (£10 extra on chain reaction).

Are there any alternatives worth considering for a similar price?

Someone(Think it was Onzadog) stripped a recent Deore and commented on the sealing.Apparently, the sealing arrangement on the Deore isn’t the same/as good as the XT.Could try searching his past history for more details.

Don’t know about the xt bb but I’ve had 2yrs from a deore bb

I had about 2 months from my last deore bb
xt is now fitted 8 months use and thats on its way out 😥
Hope bb now sitting waiting to go in.. 😀

Currently riding a combo cups of Deore LHS and XT RHS, no issue so far after 3 months of pretty heavy use in all weathers, my last LX lasted about 4 months of all weather use.
