    Hey all,

I’m looking to set up my RoadRat in a 1 x 11 guise as the rear mech, chain and cassette are all reasonably priced.

However I can’t find an 11 speed flat bar shifter – they definitely make one, but no one appears to stock it.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Paul.

    they definitely make one

Do they? Nothing listed on madison.

Edit: Tell a lie, they do the SL-RS700 but looks like only as a pair. Currently out of stock, expected availability tomorrow though.

    £109 for a pair of the rs700.

or £59 for an XTR from Evans.

I assume XTR 11 speed will work with 105 11 speed?

As far as I know it won’t.

    ah. Why’s that then?

Is 105 ten speed compatible with MTB shifters?

Different pull ratios for road and mtb 11 speed mechs (at a guess).

Well, I shall abandon that project then.

If you do revisit it in the future then also bear in mind that your rear wheel will need to be road 11spd compatible to run 1×11.

Well, you completely nerfed that one Simon. I shall get my coat.
