Looking to build a 10 x 12 timber shed shortly, just got the base sorted, just wondering what the best arrangement for the floor is?
Base was dug out of the lawn about 120mm deep, weed barrier down then sub-base down and wacked with 900mm x600mm 50mm deep paving slabs.
Was thinking of using Tanalised 3×2 timbers (at 400mm centers) with a damp proof course between the 3x2s and the 18mm Plywood floor.
This sound OK or is it worth putting some 3x3s or 4x4s down in the opposite direction for the 3x2s to sit on?

Sounds OK, you could stand the timbers on DPC rubber strips as well as the DPC plastic sheet on top of them., just so they’re not in direct contact with the sub base.

I wouldnt – the rubber will just hold the water against the timber if you put the timber between the slab an dthe timber.

The slab is at least porous and iwll let the water escape ASAP
