    Quick question …..

Looking at a 16gb 3g iPhone second hand.

Only really after one for a bit of wifi use and occasional browsing out and about.

Phone is locked to O2 – Can I just get a PAYG sim from O2 to run in the phone?

    Cheers,

Ask the seller to have O2 unlock the phone from their network, then you can take your pick.

Or get a sim from Giff Gaff who I think are a bit cheaper than O2 although using the same network.
    Thats what I did.

“Yes” is the answer you seek, though getting the seller to unlock it is a good idea – it should be free for them.

You’ll need a SIM which supports 3G (can you still get non-3G ones these days?) Note that the iPhone 4 uses a smaller ‘micro SIM’ whereas the earlier ones use regular SIMs.

    Thank you all.

Will have a word with the seller.
