Am I taking my life in my hands using a 26mm post in a 26.8mm frame? Surely if I crank the bolt up a little tighter it’ll all be ok?

    You best be trollin’!

You might get away with it, but it won’t do you frame any favours and will slip just when you need it not to.

Get yerself to eBay or CRC or your LBS, get a cheeeeeap 26.8 post and rest your bum easy.

No chance, the seatpost will either constantly slip down or you will end up knackering your frame.

    .2mm difference doesn’t normally work!
