I’d appreciate any thoughts & advice on this. I’ve been on both but unfortunately in a basic car park/jumping off some curbs – both felt very good having a difficult time deciding. I’ve always had alloy and admittedly I do worry about what might happen with carbon i.e. silly stuff like ladders falling on it, etc. But there’s some good deals on the scale 30 making the price difference almost a non-issue. Help appreciated??

30 every time. That said, If you’re an oaf who regularly drops ladders on expensive possessions then I’d take up knitting, safer.

£1300 for a Scale 30 at Pauls – an absolute steal.
Had mine for 3 years and never dropped a ladder on it, but its had plenty of hard use and unscheduled dismounts and the frame’s still in perfect nick. Its carbon fibre, not eggshell.
