    Hello,

I am off to Scotland for a two week holiday in the summer and was hoping you lot could recommend some good campsites, preferably caravan club sites around the Fort William area and also some further north nearer to Skye.

Fort William – the only site I know is in Glen Nevis just north of the town

dont know about the caravan club sites but ive stayed at lhinne lochside and Glen nevis

both have been over Ft bill world cup weekends and we are going back to Glen Nevis this year, better location within walking / easy riding distance of the town and greast for the hills as its right at the start of the ben nevis walking route

    so i’d say glen nevis

Campsites on Skye itself are pretty poor IMO although location wise Sligachan & Glenbrittle are great but midgey as hell.

Morvich is a caravan club site and in a good location near to the Skye bridge but also handy for Plockton & Applecross, the pitches can get very wet. Sheilbridge campsite is also nearby, it is quite close to the road but I generally prefer it to Morvich I thinks because it is dryer and the views are better.
