Any owners or once owners got an opinion on their bike?
Currently ride a large SuperLight29er and dipping toe into what next..
What worries me is the dangly bit behind the chainring. Does this ever get bashed? Looking at 2nd hand frame options. My riding is all cross country with mates the odd fun race/long all day event thrown in.

I am sold on threaded BB and rear bolt through.

Any things to look out for? I am aware of “circle of death” on mark1 QR rear triangles.

The lower link? I suppose it could get a rock bounce up, as for grounding out you would probably mangle the chainring first

I’v never had a problem with anything hitting my link. It’s incredibly easy to replace if necessary, I needed a new lower link when the bearings couldn’t be removed, it cost about £30.

For cross country it’s pretty much perfect!
