Recently I have been looking into a new trail bike frame as my old one broke, the SC Nickel was going to be an option.

Earlier in the week I emailed Jungle asking about what colours are going to be available for the 2012 model year as the website only shows it in white and a slightly dodgy army green colour.

Unfortunately i was given the following response:

“I’m afraid the Nickel is being dis-continued…they are having to streamline as the VPP stuff is becoming incredibly popular,

We do have some frames left, what size are you? how tall are you?

Cheers“

Shame really as i liked the way the linkage driven single pivot felt on the trail.

On the up side at least Trek have been kind enough to send me a new frame! 🙂

Does mean that there are some good deals about though

Butcher and Nickel frames down to £999. Just bought a Nickel, great bike. Wouldn’t worry too much about it being discontinued as spare hangers and bearings kits will still be available. Shame they haven’t been selling well as they ride real nice.
