Martin is a crazy guy and a great rider. Met him at Iron Bike and what he rode up and down on the Sandman was very impressive.

Them steps were bum twitchy and if he didn’t have suss forks on the front I guess he’d have been off.

Prices are reasonably low, especially if you compare the Titanium model with market prices.
We really want our bikes to get into the field asap.
A big amount of posts have been sent out the last couple of years waiting for more news and the necessary facts and figures about SANDMAN Bikes.

Indeed we’re live with our new website and doing the best we can to provide more info by the week.
Normally info on the SANDMAN Outback should be up in a week or two.
Also lacking more background on company and bike concept.

But we’re not complaining at all!
After 3 weeks of commercialisation were shipping out our first bikes to France, Spain, Holland,… and off course Belgium.

Keep us in the loop.

Love the video, the steps riding was great !

Not being that knowledgeable about fat bikes, apart from seeing them used on snow/sand/soft ground etc, I was wondering what the relevance, or benefit, of the fatbike was for the riding that was shown in the video ?

Give me a couple of days to bring the benefits to live on our web pages.
Relevance and differences will be explained to best of our capabilities there.
Air suspension giving big big driving comfort, grip, stability, fast cornering, even more confidence, braking distance, geometry and crank height to name some.
Fact that we can use tires up to 4,8″ and for fast rolling terrain can change wheels into a 29″-er wheel set is extremely helpful for creating a 360° solution for almost every terrain imaginable.
It makes it a very dynamic (even agressive) multi-terrain MTB, tested in more then 20 countries over the last 3 years. Never read about a bike tested and tuned more then that. Time to stop developing and go to the market! 😉
But the best way for you to be sure, is to test the bike if possible or to look for user reports on multiple MTB-blogs and forums. Hopefully our future SANDMAP will give you some info on where to find our test bikes in the world. Starting with Belgium and Holland where they are already available.
More countries will follow soon!

Spend some time with the team on the joint preparation of our SANDMAN-riders for the Rovaniemi 150 in Northern Lapland. (website innovations a bit behind on schedule for that reason…)

And with success, after an epic first 31,5 hour edition of this independent, non-stop 150 km. race, our Belgian Ultrabiker Elias van Hoeydonck and his SANDMAN Atacama finished first before the experienced John “Shaggy” Cross and our Spanish Martin Campoy, responsible for the “Nepali Trail”-movie mentioned above, finished third with his SANDMAN Gobi.
All the rest of the participants forfeited the race because of the inhuman weather conditions and massive snow.
After 80 km. (!) in total our tandem team Jef and Rob, had to check in their tandem back at base camp. With a lot of extra weight and 75% of the distance walking instead of riding, they had to stop.

A respectable podium with three fantastic winners, incredible!
More news, details, a new film and photo footage is/will be posted to our website, our Facebook and Singletrack off course!

As Roderick says, I’m out in Finland with loads of the Sandman guys. Totally brutal race but good to ride round with Elias and Martin. I rode my On-one in the race but a have a Sandman Gobi as well- great bike. They are also working on a new video which looks like it’ll be really good. Not sure how much I can say but looking forward to seeing the end results.

That race looks good. They doing it again next year?

Even the frame only options for the alu and steel versions look pretty pricey compared to surly/salsa, etc.!
